THEY were game for a laugh and determined to make hundreds of pounds for charity.

And Kate Leadbeater, from Kirkwood Hospice, said the 90 people who took part in the hospice’s charity It’s A Knockout challenge had lots of fun.

Nine teams of 10 people joined in from organisations across Huddersfield. They encountered water, foam and giant inflatables in the event at the DRAM Centre.

The first round of zany games was won by a team from B&Q and the second round by local networking group BNI Inspired.

Kate, a fundraiser for the hospice in Dalton, said: “Everybody said they had fantastic fun and it really is a good way of fundraising while having fun.

“Yvette Marks-Noel, the hospice’s catering manager and her team put on a barbecue which went down very well.

“That was the easy part for the teams but now comes the hard part which is actually going out and making sure they collect up their sponsorship money. We would like to say thank you to everybody in anticipation.”
