A CAMPAIGN to improve rail and bus links in the Colne Valley has been launched.
GLAM (Golcar, Longwood and Milnsbridge) Transport Group hopes to obtain a railway station for Golcar and Milnsbridge and a circular bus route to serve the lower and middle Colne Valley.
The group, which had its first meeting at Golcar Royal British Legion, hopes to convince Metro, West Yorkshire’s public transport authority, to improve services in the valley.
GLAM Transport also aims to promote the use of public transport in Colne Valley.
The group elected train driver Neil Bentley as chair and Ashley Wattam as secretary.
