PUPILS toiled in the summer heat to plant their vegetable gardens at Beaumont Park.

The gardens were designed and laid out by students from Shelley College, King James’s High School, and Rowley Lane Junior Infant and Nursery School in a project organised and sponsored by Huddersfield Rotary Club. King James’s were crowned winners for their design which used recycled materials.
