A CURRY and jazz night will raise charity cash.

The Railway pub in School Lane, Berry Brow, is holding the event from 8.30pm next Monday.

It includes a curry supper and music from the Loretta Scott Trio.

The evening has been organised by licensee Margery Woodcock, president of the Yorkshire Federation of Women's Licensed Trade.

It is raising money for the federation, which sponsors places for licensees' children at several fee-paying schools in the country.

It also provides housing for retired licensees and raises money for several local charities.
