Jo Cox's heartbroken family has travelled to Birstall to visit the scene of her murder.
Her sister, paid tribute to her “perfect” sibling as her distraught family visited the scene of the tragedy.
Mrs Cox’s family read floral tributes at the scene in Birstall where the mum-of-two was shot and stabbed to death on Thursday.
Mourners turned out in support as Mrs Cox’s sister Kim Leadbeater read an emotional tribute to her sister on Saturday afternoon.
She told the crowd the Labour MP’s husband Brendan was at home looking after their two young children, aged five and three.
Ms Leadbeater said: “There are some things in life you should never have to do. Last night I had to go and identify my sister's body.
"Yes, this was Jo Cox and she was many things to many people during her too short life but she was my sister, my parents' first-born child, a wife and a mum.
"From a very young age all Jo ever wanted was for people to be happy.
“We know that there are some evil people in this world, but there are a lot of good people too.
“We will never let Jo leave our lives.
“She will live on through all the good people in the world - through Brendan, through us, and through her truly wonderful children who will always know what an utterly amazing woman their mother was.
“She was a human being and she was perfect.”
Meanwhile they thanked a hero pensioner who tried to save the MP as she lay dying.
Brave Bernard Kenny, 77, risked his life trying to stop an attack on Mrs Cox outside her constituency surgery in Birstall on Thursday.
In her emotional speech Kim Leadbeater read a statement in which she thanked the emergency services for their help.
But she reserved special praise for Mr Kenny.
"We'd like to thank Bernard Kenny, who tried to help her,' said Kim.
"We wish him well in his recovery.
"What an an amazing man."
Mr Kenny was also rushed to Leeds General Infirmary and his wife Doreen remains at his bedside where he is described as being in a stable condition.
The former colliery worker has previously been commended for his bravery after forming part of the Gomersal Mines Rescue team which tried to save victims of the Lofthouse mining disaster in 1973.
