A PLAN to turn a disused factory in Roberttown into a commercial park has been unveiled.
And it is thought the scheme for the former Fountain Works at Huddersfield Road would create new jobs.
The plan, which has been submitted to Kirklees Council, is for the site to be converted into shop units, business premises for office use and a restaurant or takeaway.
Fountain Works were last used as an indoor go-kart track and have been empty for years.
Council officials say the site is classified as brownfield, owing to its past industrial use.
The developers have included landscaping in their application, with trees along the road frontage.
Another part of Fountain Works is also the subject of a separate planning application by another applicant for change of use to car sales.
