A TEXTILE company has recognised two long-serving employees for their devotion to duty.

Cathy Molloy and Pamela Mawson were presented with gifts and treated to lunch after clocking up almost 60 years combined service with Turnbridge-based John L Brierley Ltd.

Directors Graham and Ian Brierley hosted the luncheon at The Keys Restaurant, Kirkgate, in Huddersfield.

Cathy, who lives in Moldgreen and has worked for the firm for almost 30 years, was presented with a computer and flowers to mark her retirement.

During her time with the company, she has worked as a spinner, a twister and a winder as well as working in the firm’s craft division and latterly as a cleaner.

Pamela, who also lives in Moldgreen, has notched up 25 years with the company, having joined the evening shift and going on to work as a twister and winder before becoming assistant technician in the twisting department.

Pamela, who is remaining with the company, was presented with a television as her 25-year gift.
