A SWIMMING pool which was forced to temporarily close for essential maintenance is expected to re-open today.
Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) closed the main pool at the John Smith’s Stadium on Wednesday afternoon after a cable, which holds the movable floor in place, snapped.
The maintenance team have since been working to rectify the problem.
A spokesman for Kirklees Active Leisure said: “We are doing everything we can to rectify the problem and the pool should hopefully re-open today.
“ We are keeping our customers updated on our website and via social media.”
KAL said they amended the running of the small pool area to run classes which remained open throughout the disruption.
