WHEN the Lucks get together it is quite a gathering - and the family keeps getting bigger.

Now, after the birth of baby Joseph three weeks ago, there are five generations of Lucks men - Joseph, dad Daniel, 19, grandad Darren, 40, great-grandad Rodney, 58, and great-great-grandad Ernst, 88.

Darren, a welder, said all the family were overjoyed at the birth of little Joseph.

He added: "It was a bit of a shock at first, but we are pleased as Punch now.

"I am really proud of Daniel and he is really chuffed."

Daniel, a labourer, and Joseph's mum, Amy, 18, who live in Crosland Moor, having been introducing the new addition to the head of the family.

Darren said: "Ernst met Joseph for the first time last week. He was quiet at first, but now he never stops talking about him. He is really taken with him.

"This is the first time I've become a grandad, so it is new for me as well. I am enjoying it so far and looking forward to the future."
