DIAMOND Jubilee events are planned in Slaithwaite this week.
Wilberlee Junior and Infant School is holding a garden party from 3.20pm on Thursday.
The Swan at Crimble will celebrate the milestone on Sunday with a street party. The event will raise money for Waves day care centre, Slaithwaite Meals on Wheels and Slaithwaite Community Centre.
There will also be a Diamond Jubilee service at St James’s Church from 10am on Sunday, featuring Slaithwaite Band.
