JURORS who will try the case of a Huddersfield mother accused of murdering her four-year-old daughter were yesterday sworn in at Bradford Crown Court.

Little Leticia Aalayah Wright died in November last year as a result of sustaining multiple injuries.

Her mother Sharon Wright, 23, of Almondbury Bank, Moldgreen, and her co-accused Peter Seaton, 21, of Northallerton, are charged with the toddler's murder.

Each defendant also faces a charge of allowing or causing the death of a child.

After the seven women and five men who will hear the case were sworn in, the Judge, The Honourable Mr Justice Walker, told them that they would begin hearing evidence on Thursday.

He gave the jury the usual pre-trial warnings and released them until the trial, which is expected to last around two weeks.
