JURORS will today resume their deliberations in a multi-million pound fraud case involving a Brighouse man.

John Hirst, 61, has admitted involvement in the so-called Ponzi investment scheme.

But four other people have denied various charges and are on trial at Bradford Crown Court.

The jury spent all day yesterday deliberating on their verdicts but were then sent home by the judge and told to return today.

Hirst’s wife Linda Hirst, 62, her daughter Zoe Waite, 36, both from Surrey, have denied allegations of money laundering as has Hirst’s son Daniel, 35, of Leeds.

A former accountant Richard Pollett, 70, of Dorset, has denied being part of a conspiracy to defraud investors.

The trial has been told how ex pats in Mallorca lost hundreds of thousands of pounds when they invested in a finance scheme.
