A SCHEME has been set-up to encourage people to share their views about care homes.
The Big Care Home Conversation has been launched across the country to give those who live, visit or work in residential care the chance to have their say.
My Home Life (MHL) – a partnership sponsored by Age UK, City University and The Joseph Rowntree Trust – is running the project to help improve the quality of life for people using the services.
Today, Clr Molly Walton welcomed the initiative on behalf of Kirklees Council adult social care services.
The Cabinet member for health, wellbeing and communities, said: “This is a good opportunity for people to have their say about the important issue of care homes.
“The ‘conversation’ will highlight the positive aspects of care homes and any areas for improvement.”
MHL will use the comments to feed back to the Government key issues about delivering quality of life in care homes for older people.
