SINGER Kashelle Taylor has scooped an award in a student showcase.
The Kirklees College student won the finale of the Kirklees Charity Gala, in aid of the Huddersfield Town’s Keep It Up campaign.
Kashelle, 28, from Fartown, impressed a celebrity panel of judges, including Town legend Andy Booth and former Apprentice contestant Claire Young.
Kashelle wowed with her rendition of Leona Lewis’s Run.
The art and design student said: said: “It’s amazing to have won. It’s such a blessing, I’m really grateful.”
All funds raised at the Kirklees Charity Gala will be donated to Keep It Up, a fundraising campaign supporting Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town Academy.
The night also included a charity auction with lots donated by businesses.
