KIRKLEES College are Huddersfield Town’s new home shirt sponsors.

The college has struck a deal to put their name on Town’s new-look shirt for the 2010-11 campaign.

The new shirts feature a lighter shade of blue rather than the traditional royal blue which has been a staple of many seasons.

The paler stripes hark back to the kit of two years ago.

Town have added an England-style white collar to the shirt which features the new Kirklees College logo and the club crest, topped by three stars to signify their hat-trick of League Championship wins in the 1920s.

Both Town and Kirklees College believe they will score through a 12-month agreement which was unveiled at a Galpharm Stadium event on Wednesday evening and via huge banners showing Town star Gary Roberts in the strip at the college’s centres on New North Road and in Dewsbury.

Town will give their new kit its debut in next Wednesday’s home friendly against Premier League Blackburn Rovers.
