VOLUNTARY and community groups have been invited to apply for funding to support activities for young people.

Cash from Kirklees Council’s Integrated Youth Support Service may be available for activities including arts, adventure, environment, sport and recreation, multi-cultural activities and activities for disabled young people.

The small grants are available for one-off projects which aim to divert young people from anti-social or criminal behaviour and can cover costs of up to £500.

The deadline for applications is Friday, February 15, but activities can be completed any time before March, 2014.

Information packs and application forms are available by emailing IYSS.Projects@kirklees.gov.uk with “grant pack” in the subject box or by phoning 01484 225271.

To get access to the small grants, groups must register with the Grants Access Point and can begin this process by applying to IYSS using the above contact details.
