WALKERS can get in shape as they stroll through a park.
Kirklees Council has installed exercise equipment at Savile Town Recreation Ground in Dewsbury.
The trim trail includes a rowing machine, pull-up bars, parallel bars and a cycling machine.
The council’s cabinet member for leisure, Clr Mary Harkin, will open the trim trail tomorrow.
She said: “As the better weather approaches we hope lots of people discover that trim trails can be fun and improve fitness. There’s no booking, no charges and they can be used anytime – during a walk in the park, while the children are playing or as part of an exercise regime.”
Trim trails have also been set up at Fartown Recreation Ground and Crow Nest Park, in Dewsbury.
