Councillors approved outdoor drinking plans for a Honley pub.

Grahame Nutt, landlord of the Jacobs Well, won planning consent for a three-level terrace outside the pub on Woodhead Road, Honley.

Councillors on the Planning Committee yesterday approved consent, despite 20 objections.

They asked for fencing or screening options to protect the privacy of neighbours, who had complained about noise loss of privacy and lighting issues.

Councillors also restricted outdoor access to 9pm, Monday to Sunday.
