NEW handbooks from Kirklees Council Adult Services aim to provide better access to information about social care support choices.
Get Going! is for people with learning disabilities and their carers.
The second booklet, Ways to Wellbeing, is for people with mental health concerns.
Both are designed to help people find and use services and the support they need to boost independence and improve wellbeing.
They show the wide range of choices on offer from Kirklees Council Adult Services, NHS Kirklees, South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust as well as the large number of community projects in the area.
Clr Shabir Pandor, Joint Cabinet Lead for Kirklees Council Adult Services, said: “Providing access to clear information about services and the decisions which people can make is part of the council’s commitment to giving more choice and control to people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns”.
Copies are available from the council Local Gateway to Care service from April 1.
