YOUNG Kirklees athletes scooped five medals in an international athletics event in Poland, hosted by Kirklees' twin town of Bielsko Biala.
Ten athletes were selected from the Youth Games Sportshall Championships to represent Kirklees in an event which also involved teams from Rumania, Hungary, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
Luke Ellis Craven won gold in the 100m and bronze in the long jump,Scott Atkinson took silver in the 100m, Jacob Henton Silver in the 1000m and Claudia Chapprah got bronze in the 100m.
Michael Walsh, Greg Smith, Lauren Stephenson, Alaina Heath and Emily Whitham all competed well.
The youngsters were treated to a sightseeing tour of the region
