A 47-YEAR-OLD man has been cautioned by police for stealing knickers from a neighbour’s washing line.

The man was arrested at his Wooldale home on Monday.

He was taken to Huddersfield police headquarters for questioning about several offences of knickers being stolen and later received a formal caution after admitting offences.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm a 47-year-old man has received a caution.

“Every case is assessed on its own merits and a police caution is often issued in cases where the defendant has no previous convictions or has admitted the offence.

“A police caution remains on a person’s file for their life.’’
