A PAIR of robbers held a Cowlersley man at knifepoint as they ransacked his home.

One brandished a kitchen knife as they entered the 64-year-old's Storth Avenue home at 3.30pm on Sunday.

The robber's accomplice rifled through the man's possessions.

They fled with a small amount of cash towards Main Avenue.

The knifeman was white, aged 18 to 20, 5ft 8in with a medium build. He wore a black woollen hat, black jacket and dark jeans and spoke with a local accent.

The second suspect was also a white male, aged 18 to 20, 5ft 10in and of medium build. He wore a black hat.
