KNIFE-wielding robbers terrorised their victim during a raid on a betting office.

One of the robbers went into Timebox at Southgate, Huddersfield, at 4pm yesterday, had a quick look around and then went out again.

Moments later he was back with an accomplice who was armed with a knife.

The first man tried to open the door to the counter, where a 23-year-old man was working. When he could not get in, he demanded money.

When none was given, he got hold of a stool and repeatedly smashed it against the counter window until the glass broke.

The attacker leaned through the broken window towards the till and the frightened victim gave him some money. Both robbers then left.

The first raider was described as white, in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 9ins tall with a very pale face, bony features, freckles and greasy hair. He wore a black jacket.

His accomplice shielded his face with a black scarf and was dressed all in black. He carried a rusty knife with a four-inch blade.
