A STUDENT was robbed at knifepoint.

The 23-year-old had left the Huddersfield University campus in the town centre and walked across Firth Street into Crowther Street at Aspley.

Two teenagers stopped him and asked him the time.

One then showed him a knife and demanded money.

The victim said he had none, but the second mugger took his shoulder bag, which contained a laptop computer, and both ran off.

Both thieves are white, aged 17 or 18 and about 5ft 8in tall.

One has a young face and short, dark hair. He wore dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the legs and a fleecy top with the collar up.

His accomplice wore a dark blue hooded top with the hood pulled up and a baseball cap underneath.

The computer is a Toshiba in a metallic blue case.

The incident happened at 7.45pm on Friday.
