AN industrial estate in the Holme Valley has changed hands for more than £1m.

Crossley Mills Industrial Estate at New Mill Road, Honley, has been sold to an unnamed private investor for £1.28m.

The deal was completed by the Leeds office of property consultancy Knight Frank on behalf of seller Valad Property Group.

The 40,000sq ft site attracted annual rent totalling £147,000 from tenants, including Acorn Business Machines, Summer Wine Brewery and Kennedy Electricals.

Rebecca Farnsworth, of Knight Frank, said: “We were delighted with the result for our client, Valad Property Group, in disposing of this non-core asset for them.

“The estate provides an established community of local businesses, which appealed to theŠlocally-based purchaser.”

Valad is an asset management company holding industrial and commercial property in 14 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Australia and New Zealand.

In the UK, it has regional offices in London, Leeds, Scarborough, Edinburgh, Stirling and Sevenoaks, Kent.
