TOE tapping ladies from Big L Line Dancing group pulled out all the stops for charity in their latest fundraising feet.

The group donned pink clothes for a sponsored event last month and added proceeds to a previous event to raise more than £800 for Kirkwood Hospice.

Organiser Lynn Wile, 59, said: “Myself and Susan Yates organise two fundraisers a year for Kirkwood Hospice. All the Big L Line Dancers pay £5 to come along and bring refreshments and we have a raffle.

“We also added some cash to reach our total from one of our members who makes greetings cards in the village.

“We were also kindly given the venue at the Denby Dale Pie Hall for free thanks to the landlord.’’

The money raised by the group will go towards Kirkwood Hospice which provides care for people who are facing life-limiting conditions.
