TWO friends held a ladies’ night to boost cash for a sponsored run.
Jan Barker and Lauren Walker raised £800 for Cancer Research UK from their own event.
The pair plan to run the chancer charity’s Race for Life at the Leeds Road playing fields on June 28.
Instead of relying totally on sponsorship, the pair held a Pink Ladies’ Night at the Woodland Glade Club in Bradley.
After a champagne reception, the 65 guests – who were asked to wear pink – took part in bingo, a raffle, tombola and shopped at Virgin Vie, Usborne Books and Clarins stalls.
