HISTORIC stamps commemorating Britain’s Olympic heroes are on sale for just three more weeks.

The stamps – which included one for former Holmfirth cyclist Ed Clancy – will be withdrawn from sale on December 31.

In total 63 different stamps were issued to recognise the success of Team GB and Paralympics GB athletes.

Others on the stamps include boxer Nicola Adams, whose dad lives in Huddersfield, and Calderdale paralympics star Hannah Cockroft.

The Royal Mail also painted postboxes gold to honour the athletes, including one in Railway Street, Huddersfield, for Clancy.
