AN awards evening honouring staff who work at Kirklees sports centres ended in scuffles.
Police were called after trouble erupted at the end of the presentation evening for Kirklees Active Leisure employees at Colne Valley Sports Centre in Slaithwaite.
Officers were sent after reports at 1am of trouble flaring.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called just after 1am on Sunday.
"Officers attended but no-one was arrested and they left when the situation calmed down."
A spokeswoman for Kirklees Active Leisure said an internal inquiry was under way.
She said: "Kirklees Active Leisure received reports of a disturbance outside Colne Valley Leisure Centre late on Saturday night into Sunday morning and is carrying out an inquiry into what happened.
"Therefore we cannot comment further at present."
