SOCCER legend Denis Law is in "good spirits" at home after a cancer operation.

The 63-year-old former Huddersfield Town star had surgery at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, for prostate cancer on November 18.

His daughter Di said he had now been discharged and was in good spirits.

She said: "Dad's back home in Altrincham and doing OK, he's just working on getting his fitness back."

Di said he was likely to return to hospital for further treatment in the near future. Law started his career in Huddersfield, where he netted 19 goals in 91 appearances.

He went on to play for Manchester City, Italian club Torino and Manchester United.
