FOOTBALL legend Denis Law has revealed that his wife Diana is battling incurable stomach cancer - two years after he beat prostate cancer.
The former Huddersfield Town star, who went on to greatness with Manchester United and Scotland, is now caring for his wife.
Law, 66, said her condition was diagnosed a day after she got the all-clear from a blood clot which nearly killed her.
He added: "It's hit us like a ton of bricks, to be quite honest.
"You always think it will never happen to you again, especially after it happened to me. When it comes to your home it's devastating."
Mrs Law, also 66, who is resting at home between chemotherapy sessions, said: "It's cancer of the abdomen. It's incurable, but it is treatable."
Mrs Law was a pillar of strength while her husband fought cancer and he has vowed he will be at her side in her time of need.
The couple have been married for 44 years, having met in their native Aberdeen.
Law signed for Town in December, 1956, and left the club in 1960.
