LEAD has been stolen from the roof of a town library.

LEAD has been stolen from the roof of a town library.

Police are investigating after thieves made off with lead from Brighouse Library.

It is believed to have happened over the weekend of July 2 and 3.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Unconfirmed reports states that two youths were seen loading wheelie bins nearby and set of ladders have been recovered.”

Police are checking CCTV but are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 0845 6060606.
