ADULTS from the region who have taken the time to develop new skills, are to get the chance to be rewarded for their efforts.
Nominations are being accepted for the learn- direct Achievement Awards for adults who have gone that extra mile to uncover their hidden skills.
From developing artistic talents to music or even improving a golf handi- cap, all may have shown a commitment to learning.
Karen Riley, the learndirect regional director for Yorkshire and Humberside is urging local people to get involved.
"Finding the time to uncover a hidden talent is not only personally fulfilling but can also help individuals get on at work.
"For example, artistic talents could be turned into web design skills."
Nomination forms can be downloaded at www.learndirect.co.uk/awards
Nominations close on March 16.
