THE movie revival of the classic British comedy series St Trinian’s had its world premiere in London last night.

Fans thronged Leicester Square to see the star-studded cast including Huddersfield actresses Lena Headey and Jodie Whittaker, who both have roles in the movie – expected to be a blockbuster.

The stellar cast also includes Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Russell Brand, Stephen Fry, pop band Girls Aloud, and OC actress Mischa Barton.

And the stars brought a touch of mischief to the premiere.

Colin Firth, Russell Brand, Rupert Everett – whose idea it was to revive the famous British comedy series – and Girls Aloud all walked the pink carpet.

Everett, who cross-dresses for the role of unorthodox headmistress Camilla Fritton, left his dress at home.

But he said: “I had these enormous double D cup breasts. They were my undoing. They put my back out. After filming finished I had to lie down.”

The co-director of the hotly-anticipated film, Barnaby Thompson, has described it as the “antidote” to Harry Potter in its depiction of British public school life.
