THEY enjoyed a summer feast for charity.
Members of Lepton Methodist church held a barbecue and cream tea afternoon yesterday to raise money for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team (HVMRT).
They served hot dogs and sausage sandwiches followed by strawberry tea and scones.
One of the organisers, Joan Joyce, said: “It was a very nice day and we were very lucky with the weather.
“Some people even sat outside.
“There was a steady flow of people throughout the day.
“We raised around £200 for the charity through collections also.
“Each year we support two charities, one local and the other abroad.
“We were delighted to help support the HVMRT this year.”
