MORE than 15,000 health books are now available at Kirklees libraries.

As part of a campaign to promote health and fitness, the libraries and local health trust have joined forces to spread the word.

It is part of a new campaign ‘Help yourself to better health– at the library’.

A bus campaign is also running alongside it which features cartoon characters representing people who could benefit from using the books.

Kirklees primary care trust is funding the books, which includes literature for children interested in doing more sport and learning about food.

Teenagers are also targeted with books available that help them to deal with stress, as well tips on healthy living.

Books available for adults give advice on parenting, keeping their family healthy and coping with emotional problems.

The books are available from all local libraries in Kirklees.
