A LIBRARY is to shut for 10 days for alterations.
Lindley Library on Lidget Street will shut on Saturday, July 1, and re-open on Tuesday, July 11.
It is being converted to a library and information centre, where visitors will be able to sort out queries about Kirklees Council matters, as well as borrow books.
Building work will continue until early August and access will be restricted.
Stone washing is also planned for the front of the building, which means that the pavement outside will be closed from time to time from July 1.
Visitors can learn about the plans during special events at the library from 10am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 7pm tomorrow.
Refreshments will be provided and staff will be there to answer questions.
