NOVELS by Italian crime writers will be featured in an event at Holmfirth Library next Wednesday.

The event is to mark the end of the Kirklees Libraries' Inter-Crime project, which encouraged people to read translated crime fiction.

Members of an amateur dramatic group will enact scenes from some of the books being spotlighted and there will be Italian food and wine.

The event starts at 8pm and tickets, £3 each, are available from the library on Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth.

Copies of the featured books are available from the library.

The year-long project was funded by Arts Council England and run by Kirklees Libraries' reading development officer Ann Cleeves, a published crime fiction writer.
