MIRFIELD Library is doing its bit for the war effort.

Staff are inviting members of the public into the library to record their wartime experiences on to the BBC's WW2: The People's War website.

The BBC is building a unique record of the nation at war by encouraging people to add their personal stories to the recently-launched website.

The special session is being held at Mirfield Library on Thursday, May 20 from 1 to 4pm.

People will be able to input their experiences direct on to the site. Staff will be available to offer assistance.

Anyone wanting further information about the session should contact Mirfield Library on 01924 326470.
