A DECISION on a lap-dancing club’s licence has been delayed.
Councillors were due to rule yesterday on La Salsa in the Beast Market, Huddersfield.
But Kirklees Council’s Licensing Panel decided to adjourn until next week.
Chairwoman Clr Christine Iredale explained: “We received a lot more paperwork from both the Police and the applicant. We plan to meet again either next Tuesday or next Friday.”
La Salsa was shut by Police last month after claims that dancers were performing fully nude and selling sex.
Legally, private dancers in clubs must remain partially-clothed at all times and are banned from physical contact with customers.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man at La Salsa and he is on bail pending further inquiries into a number of allegations.
