TWO brothers accused of selling alcohol and cigarettes to under 18s will face sentencing in September.

Mohammed Afzal and Naseem Sarwar, who run The Off Licence, in Longroyd Bridge, had their licence revoked by Kirklees Council after admitting selling alcohol or cigarettes to under 18s on nine occasions.

They have appealed against the decision made by Kirklees Council’s Licensing panel, which means they can continue to trade until an appeal decision is reached.

Yesterday, Huddersfield magistrates organised for the pair, who live on Bankfield Road to appear in court on September 7.

They will face sentencing for the criminal charges of selling to underage persons.
