THREE landmark buildings in Huddersfield could be seen in a different light.

Planners will decide if new illuminations can be installed on the Grade II listed structures in St George’s Square.

Kirklees Council’s regeneration service wants to install lights on the George Hotel, Lion Chambers and Britannia Buildings.

The lights would “draw attention to the main architectural features” of the mid-19th Century structures.

The council’s Huddersfield Planning Sub-committee will rule on the proposal at Huddersfield Town Hall from 1pm on Thursday.
