A HUDDERSFIELD landmark is back on time.

Lindley Clock was running three hours fast over Christmas.

But an engineer from clock-makers Smith of Derby corrected the problem yesterday.

A Kirklees Council spokeswoman said: “The council was made aware of a problem with the clock before the Christmas break and this was immediately reported to our service engineers.

“They are usually able to attend very quickly, but a combination of the holiday period and problems with the weather caused a delay.

“Faults with public clocks are treated as a priority.”
