THE clock face on Lindley’s iconic clock tower has been slightly damaged.

A small hole has been spotted by an eagle-eyed passerby.

But police and councillors say they have received no reports of damage to the clock on the corner of Lidget Street, which was built in 1902 and it remains a mystery how the small hole was caused.

Clr Tony Brice said: “We’ve heard nothing and the Neighbourhood Policing Team and local bobby and haven’t received any reports or complaints.”
