WORSHIPPERS have said farewell to a popular minister.
The Rev Rob Hilton has left after 10 years as minister for Lindley and Outlane Methodist churches.
Church steward Sarah Wilson paid tribute to him. She said: “Rob and his wife Ruth have made a huge contribution, not only to the churches but also to community life in Lindley and Outlane.
“Rob has maintained close contact with local schools and councillors.”
Lindley Methodist Church members held a ceilidh in his honour while Outlane members had a farewell service with cakes and gifts.
Mr and Mrs Hilton, their three children, Sam, Ned and Esther, have moved to a church in Ilkley.
