A SHOPKEEPER has set off on a trek across the glens of Scotland for charity.

It will take Michelle Robson, who owns Occasions card shop on Lidget Street in Lindley, five days to complete the 79-mile trek from Fort William to Inverness.

Michelle, 43, is joined by her husband Donald and their friend Nigel Owen on The Great Glen Way trek.

They are staying at B&Bs along the way.

Michelle said: “Walking is a hobby of mine so I’m doing my hobby while having a holiday and raising money for charity.”

Michelle, who lives in Greetland, will donate the money to Breast Cancer Research in memory of her friend Carolyn Ward who died from the disease when she was just 38.
