A WOMAN drove after mixing wine with medication, a court heard.
Julie Robertson, of Temple Street in Lindley, had felt fine to drive home on January 11.
But she was charged with drink-driving after police pulled her over and smelt drink on her breath.
Robertson, 41, admitted a charge of driving whilst over the legal limit.
Linda Fowler, prosecuting, told Kirklees magistrates that
police spotted Robertson pulling out of Birchencliffe Service Station on Halifax Road at 10.30pm.
Mrs Fowler said: “They had cause to stop the vehicle and speak with her.”
Further tests revealed that Robertson had 83 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35mg.
Robertson, who was not represented in court, said: “I presumed that I was OK to drive, but obviously I was not.”
Magistrates banned Robertson from driving for 20 months. They also ordered her to pay £110 fine, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
