MEMBERS of Colne Valley Lions went fishing - to promote their annual beer festival this weekend.
Roger Daker and John Turner dressed as country yokels to re-enact the story of the Slaithwaite Moonrakers.
But instead of fishing for the moon they hauled a barrel of beer from the canal.
The festival takes place tomorrow and Saturday at Slaithwaite Conservative Club.
Eighteen real ales from across the UK will be available to sample - including ones from Orkney and Kent, as well as local brews.
Tomorrow the festival runs from 7pm to 11pm. Members of Slaithwaite Band's "oompah" section will provide entertainment.
The fun resumes at noon on Saturday with country and western band The Fusspots entertaining during the afternoon.
The evening session will feature keyboard player and vocalist Alec Christie. The festival will finish at 11pm.
Proceeds from the event will be shared between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Lions charities.
Entry is £1 per person and includes a commemorative glass.
