RESIDENTS are being urged to come and speak to their local police officers to raise concerns and priorities to feel safe in their community.

The Huddersfield South Neighbourhood Policing Team are to hold a series of public meetings throughout July in Almondbury, Dalton and Netherton.

The meetings give local officers the chance to raise issues of concern and speak both formally and informally to their community officers to get a better insight into what police have been doing in their communities.

Inspector Danny Groiser, the new NPT Inspector for Huddersfield South, said: “The meetings are really important to us and as the new inspector for Huddersfield South I am keen we offer residents as many chances as possible to meet with us and air their views.”

Police and Contact Meetings will be held as follows:

Almondbury Ward – July 11 at 6.30pm at Lepton Scout Hut

Dalton Ward – July 17 at 7pm at The Dram Centre, Ridgeway, Dalton

Crosland Moor Ward – July 11 at 6.30pm at Netherton Community Centre.

Contact point sessions will be held at Morrisons Supermarket, Penistone Road – July 7 and July 28 between 11am and noon.
