Yorkshire Tea recall collectable ceramics
Now that’s what I call a cracking brew...Yorkshire Tea have recalled a number of their teapots and mugs over fears some may crack during use.
A recall is in place for their branded ceramic products, including the Yorkshire Tea 1-litre Teapot, the Yorkshire Tea Teapot for One, the Yorkshire Tea Big Tea Mug and the Yorkshire Tea Milk Jug.
The Harrogate-based company say there have been “a small number of complaints from customers who reported that the base of the 1-litre Yorkshire Tea Teapot cracked or broke during normal use”.
A spokesperson added: “When teapots from the same batch were tested against the relevant British Safety Standard they did not crack. However, more extensive testing revealed the potential for fracture or breakages during normal use. Therefore, in the interests of our customers’ safety, we’ve taken the decision to implement a recall of all the ceramics made by the same manufacturer.”
